Aeonium cuneatum


Aeonium cuneatum
50cm ø, up to 0.5 (1,20)m in height, one amongst the most attractive species in this genus, with a rather unusual appearance. It has very large cup shaped and glaucous rosettes, reaching up to 0.5 m in diameter and a bright yellow inflorescence of up to 1 m in height (!). This species is growing in shaded and moist places in the laurel forest in both, the Teno (western parts) and Anaga (eastern parts) mountains at either end of Tenerife. Amongst the most resistant species of all, concerning mistreatment and relatively low winter temperatures. Montaña Tafada, 800m (Anaga range) respectively upper Barranco de Los Cochinos, 650m (Teno range).
