Aeonium vestitum


Aeonium vestitum
100 (150)cm, virtually similar to Aeonium holochrysum, but clearly distinguished from the latter by having a tunic of old, dried leaves around the stem, which are persistant for years (hence its name !). It makes a large shrub up to 150cm in height and rosettes of maximum 0.25 m in diameter with long, light green spathulate leaves and yellowish, slightly ciliated margins. Leaves are shiningly pubescent. The large yellow inflorescences appear in July/August. La Palma, Tijarafe (600m).
