Amorphophallus obscurus
15 (25)cm, a miniature and only in 2001 described new species with five, nicely cream white spotted, broad leaflets and a basal, widely opening, pale to dark rose spathe and a pale cream rose, long spadix. Native of rich, well drained soils in woods in Thailand. This species naturally makes small corms, some 2cm ø are already flowering size. Easily grown in any rich, very well drained soil. In winter keep dormant corms almost completely dry at a minimum of some 15°C. IV-V.
