Arum creticum (yellow form)
30 (40)cm, highly ornamental species which shows somehow fleshy, shiny green leaves and an outstanding pale sulfur, recurving spathe and darker yellow spadix. In contrast to most Arum species its' inflorescences are nicely fragrant. Native of south-western Turkey to Greece (Crete, Samos, Karpathos and Rhodes), occurring in stony slopes in the mountains. For any rich, yet well drained soil in a sunny spot. III-IV.
