Euphorbia stygiana Exclusive
40 (80)cm, most decorative Euphorbia endemic of the Azores. A semi-succulent species close to Euphorbia mellifera which has become almost extinct in nature due to ongoing destruction of its habitat, i.e. open rocky spots in the moist laurel forest. A woody shrub with broad succulent stems and decorative long, broadly lanceolate, bluish green leaves with a yellowish green middle rib. Small yellowish flowers in a large inflorescence. For any humus rich, slightly moist, yet well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. III-V.
