Puya berteroniana
180 (300)cm ø, a very showy, tall Puya with glaucous, silvery white, narrow leaves in a dense rosette. Very tall, dense inflorescence of deep blackish blue, metallic blue to bluish green flowers with nicely contrasting orange anthers. A highly ornamental plant from dry mountain sites in central Chile (La Campana National Park and Vilches Alto National Park at some 1.400m). Requires sufficient moisture in summer, keep completely dry, cooler, and sunny in winter. USDA Climate Zone 8. VI-IX.
