150 (200)cm, very tall, loosely branching shrub with either large, up to 12cm long, grayish green (form 1) or (rarely) medium sized, up to 7cm long, yellowish green (form 2), ovoid leaves with a tall, lax inflorescence. From the Fayal-Brezal-formation in CN to north-eastern Tenerife, growing in partially shaded to open spots. The La Palma form is rarely seen and its habit is close to form 1 from Tenerife. IV-VII.
